About Me

MY TURNING POINT IN LIFE

Minisite Profits Secrets

Let me introduce myself, I am Satish in late 30’s, currently living in Singapore as of writing this post. I am an Electrical Engineer by Profession with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Technology. Just wanna share with you about my Turning Point, the reason to leave the corporate world and take up Internet Marketing which was actually my hobby.

I was born and brought up in a conservative family in Bangalore (now called the IT capital of India), together with my younger brother and sister where values, culture means a lot and treasured. I was reared, cared, educated, well fed by my parents even though my parents hardly cared for themselves.

Basically my parents had to sacrifice a lot of things for themselves just to bring us up putting our needs always ahead.

Please bear with me as I want to unfold this tragic story as it is but in brief.

My Mom until her age of 26 was a healthy, quite skinny and lean weighing around 44 kilos. It was roughly around this age when my mom got affected by tuberculosis-TB (a lung disease). As a part of treatment, she was given complete bed rest and heavy medication since her TB started to take an ugly turn. She battled the disease and fully recovered which almost took an year plus.

Hmmnn, that’s it, by this time she had put on heavy weight which, some doctors said is because of her bed rest for long time and some said is due to the side effects of medicine.

Well whatever be the reason, she was declared obese at the age of 28. Eventhough my mom was quite active in here household chores managing a big joint family of my uncles and aunts (not an easy task indeed), she slowly continued to put on weight and gradually her overweight stabled down.

Infact, I can safely say that she didn’t need any exercise as her house work was really bone breaking and slogging for almost 15-16 hrs a day hardly taking care of herself.

Few years down the road, at her young age of 35, she was diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure(BP). The next 7-9 yrs she lived with the tablets for diabetes and high BP putting on more weight (around 76 kilos in her early 40’s). That’s not all, the life she was living with controlled diet which hardly could fill her stomach, apart from lot of restrictions on specific foods. This was the situation be it at home or at a party, she had to fully control her diet.

So if you see, inspite of her strict controlled diet, she weighed around 76 kilos, an increase of 30 kilos in 15 yrs.

I think I don’t have to tell you all the restrictions and limitations associated being overweight like, she had to struggle to get up if she sits down, frequent body pains, joint pains, back pain. Going to a party with a big size body was an embarrassment for her, she had to change her clothes to plus size, hardly could go to crowded places and hence she spent most of her time within the 4 walls…. etc etc.

By this time, the diabetic specialist had prescribed her the highest medicine dosage on tablets for her since her sugar level kept going high.

It wasn’t so long that doctor advised her to go on insulin injection to control her diabetes. Now the real pain in her life started. Can you imagine pricking yourself daily and having to follow very strict diet.

Every time she pricked herself, it was a straight prick into my heart, My heart used to bleed looking at her pitiful situation but had no choice. Again even with her strict diet, her insulin dosage kept on increasing and hit the maximum dosage.

To cut this story short, she lived with this maximum dosage of insulin for almost 15 yrs until her age of 57 during which she faced lot of illnesses like problems with kidney, eyes, hormonal & gynic.

She had to undergo major operation a couple of times due to gynic problems. You should know that doctors would never perform an operation until a stable blood sugar level was reached. So it wasn’t easy even there waiting for operations to be performed and there were few instances that the doctors had to cancel the operation when her sugar levels varied a bit.

Having taken all these medicines for years long was enough to spoil her internal organs poisoning her body. She developed a rare kind of situation where she kept on putting weight at the rate of 0.2 kg/2days.

She got admitted into hospital for serious condition of obesity and weighed 90 kgs. Doctors diagnosed her for hormonal problems saying that as the likely cause for gaining weight that fast. You know what, it was a wrong diagnosis and she kept adding weight.

Doctors decided to scan her stomach for any tumour and hence injected contrast during scanning and didn’t find anything unusual. According to her medical reports of blood, urine and scan tests everything seemed normal, except that she was gaining weight with diabetes.

Doctors didn’t know what to do. To make matters worst, for having injecting contrast during scanning, her kidneys failed and she stopped urinating. It was a case of acute renal failure.

This was the biggest wrong diagnosis on the doctors part to inject contrast for a patient with diabetic and kidney problem history.

Offcourse she was dialysed a few times and because of her big body weight her dialysis was very painful as expected by doctors. She moaned in pain while doctors and I had to stand aside helplessly to complete the dialysis.

I was beside her bedside in the hospital caring for her daily needs helplessly looking at her.

Me, my brother, sister & dad had lot of emotional talks with my mom to give her the strength to overcome this difficult situation. I could see that she was losing confidence for the first time. She had been admitted to hospital many times in the past to get her diabetes under control and for other treatments.

But this time was different. We started to lose confidence since her weight was now increased at an alarming rate of 10 kgs in 2 weeks.

Doctors had no idea of what to do and my mom became immobile with the weight of 105 kgs for her height of 5.5ft.

We were all in tears and my mom had a heart attack and she went blank for a while with her eyes rolling up. Luckily she recovered in few minutes only to have a second attack the following day and lost her breath. Doctors did a CPR and recovered her heart beats only to know that she had slipped to coma. It was day 21 in the hospital and she was yet to be diagnosed right.

At this time, the doctors told us to inform our relatives since she could lose her breath completely any time. She was on a respirator battling for her life. My mom never knew that she will end up in this fate since getting admitted to hospitals was not new for her. If only she knew of her death, she might have talked heartfull with us.

Death is so cruel, my friend, don’t know when it strikes, but my experience says that it’s right behind an overweight person.

It was just a weeks time since she went into coma that my mom breathed her last on 14 Jan 08 right in front of our own eyes.

My Mom who always lived for others could not live any more for herself. The whole of our family was deeply grief stricken and we felt devastated. We are still yet to recover from the shock.

Holy Father says, time will heal everything but personally for me, my love to my mom is so much that there’s nothing on this earth that can heal me.

The reason why I am sharing all these is that some of you could relate yourself to the same situation or experiences in your lives or could be living in such a situation at present as my mom or could be starting your life.

You see that in my Mom’s case, a hale and healthy person’s life woes started since she became overweight, struggled her life being overweight and ended her life due to the complication of over weight.

Her years of medication had pumped poisonous toxins into her body enough to cause her multiple organ failures to the extent that doctors could not diagnose her any more. Let this not happen to any of you or your loved ones. Let this sorrow not strike you anytime. Reduce your weight before any thing worst can happen. That’s why I want to promote a natural, healthy weight loss.

I am always on lookout for information regarding health to educate myself, my loved ones and you friends through the powerful medium “The Internet”. It’s my keen interest to bring you the valuable information on the health related problems and how to overcome it naturally so as to benefit all of us.

This is the best way I think I can heal myself the sorrow of my mom’s death to some extent.

I have resigned from my corporate job to return back to my home town in India to take care of my Dad and at the same time work from home. I couldn’t think of anything better than Internet Marketing for a living which has been my hobby for the past 2-3 yrs. Well, That’s how my entry to Internet Marketing……….
